Motormonk
we stayed here and the food was TERRIBLE.Both our meals were stone cold and my steak was all gristle and fat. My wifes meal was simply reheated but mine was a different steak but just as bad as the first.I summoned the head waiter and explained that i would not eat it and he said "sorry we wont charge you for it" then took it away.I went hungry The following night we went to the indian in town and had a great meal. The hotel staff admitted that a lot of complaints were received that night. VERY POOR!!
The Headland Hotel
The ?ocal?in the Cod Fritters?description attracted me and the mango papaya and chilli salsa persuaded me for the first course at the Headland? Restaurant. Quite right; the smooth consistency of the fish inside a deliciously crisp brown case was perfect, and the salsa high-kicked the tastebuds. For the first time ever, I was tempted more by a vegetarian dish than the fish or meat offerings. I? a sucker for pink peppercorns and the Baked Potato cake with tarragon and those red crunchy explosions of taste were wrapped in filo pastry, served with oven-dried plum tomato and garlic salad. The iced nougat parfait was somewhat of a surprise because it was just that: a much lighter nougat, with the same favourites of nuts, sliced coconuts and cherries. Service was perfect
