I have visited this restaurant on two separate occasions. The staff are wonderful and helpful, polite, and courteous. The food is great and the ambience is wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant for modestly priced authentic oriental cuisine - you cannot get better elsewhere, i promise.

We came across this restaurant by chance but are so glad we did, we will definitely be back. The food was really authentic, really tasty and well presented. The staff were so friendly and the overall service could not be faulted. We enjoyed the banter with the staff and ended up staying for most of the evening. High recommended......

Working in London at the moment and came across Shiok in Bloomsbury. This is a first class restaurant without the hefty price tag. Spent the evening there with some friends who couldn't believe what we got for the price we paid in central London. Staff are really friendly and food authentic and very tasty.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening at this restaurant. Had a meal for 4 people, with 3-4 courses, and the cost was very modest at £135, which included 2 bottles of wine and a couple of beers. This is very reasonable for a quality sit down meal in London. The service from the owner was exceptional, with recommendations on the menu, and suggestions of authentic Singaporian dishes to try. Everything we requested was no problem for the proprietor. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Shiok, and would definitely recommend a visit by anyone who happens to be in the area. I only wish I lived closer, so that I could eat here more often.
