About The Ship Inn
The Ship Inn is a venerable old pub with a history dating back to 1749. It very much looks the part too with its rugged stone walls and floors, low wooden beams and two pretty open fires helping create an authentic and enticing olde-world feel. The pub sits at the heart of the picturesque Dane Valley at Wincle in Staffordshire, close to the county border with Cheshire. Expect home cooked traditional and international food with choices ranging from West Indian jerk chicken to classic hand-battered fish & chips and gourmet burgers. Food is served at lunch and dinner weekdays (except Tuesdays) and right through the day at weekends. There is also a choice of well-kept ales along with wines, spirits and soft drinks. The Ship Inn also has a large beer garden to enjoy when the weather permits.
