About The Ship Inn

Tucked away in the quiet village of Efail Isaf at the foot of the Garth Mountain in south Wales, The Ship Inn is a much-loved local gem that blends rustic charm with thoughtful hospitality. Expect a menu that focuses on locally sourced Welsh ingredients, serving elevated pub classics alongside a selection of burgers, grills and sharing platters plus regular Specials. There’s a stripped down lunch menu too for lighter appetites and Sundays feature proper roast dinners alongside the main menu with tender roast beef and a Trio Roast served with all the trimmings. The Ship Inn serves food seven days a week – from 12 noon to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 12 noon to 4pm Sundays. There’s a large beer garden too and regular live music events.

Sunday lunch with 8 adults and 2 children . Absolutely fantastic . Staff so friendly and patient . Food really good and would definitely recommend. We will definitely be back .

We recently had a meal at the Ship Inn and thoroughly enjoyed it. The meals arrived quickly, were very tasty and plentiful. In addition the service was friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

We attended yesterday for a traditional Sunday lunch as we thought it would be nice for a change also a nice break from my wife spending her morning cooking. We were greeted by a member of staff who was extremely polite and friendly. We were talked to our table we were than asked if we needed anything to drink orders were taken and we were served our food promptly a minimum waiting time very impressive service. Our food was excellent well presented and plenty of food it was very good. We finished off by having home made profiteroles that were fantastic. Thank you very much the whole team were amazing.
