About Siena

Tucked away in Haslingden, Siena is a family run Italian restaurant and bar that’s well worth seeking out. It has a warm and welcoming feel and is open from 5pm Tuesday to Friday, from 4pm on Saturdays and 3pm Sundays. The maim menu has an extensive selection of dishes from Italy and the Med and there is also a good-value set menu available all day Tuesday to Thursday and for early dining Friday to Sunday. The food is complemented by a selection of Italian wines as well as Peroni on draft and bottled beers, premium spirits and soft drinks.

We began with the garlic bread, which arrived perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of buttery garlic flavor. The seafood spaghetti was a standout — generously portioned and packed with fresh, tender seafood in a light, savory sauce. The carbonara was rich and creamy, with pancetta that added just the right hint of smokiness without overwhelming the dish. Desserts did not disappoint. The cheesecake was silky and balanced, with a subtle tang that kept it from being overly sweet. The profiteroles were light, airy, and generously filled — a perfect end to the meal. Service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and well-paced, adding to the overall warmth of the experience. The ambiance was relaxed yet elegant, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Highly recommended, and definitely a place I’d return to.

A Hidden Gem – Will Definitely Be Back! Visited this lovely local Italian for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. I had the fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with a great choice of sauces. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Prices were reasonable for the quality, making it excellent value. A fantastic first visit – we’ll definitely be returning!
