Had a beautiful meal tonight in Snooks in Barrhead. There was four of us, myself, my husband, his sister and her husband who were up for the weekend from Cheshire. We will definiltely be back. The steaks were all done to perfection and the sweets were absolutely delicious and to die for. It was very good value for money and the young chap who was the waitor could not do enough for us and explained the menu very well to us. We will most definitely be back sooner rather than later. Many thanks to everyone at Snooks for a lovely meal and we look forward to our return.

I've never been and was excited to come up from London to go and visit what is meant to be a good steak house. We arrived to an empty restaurant, slightly grotty with second hand menus, dirty decor and not the most attentive staff. There were three of us and we decided to order two of their biggest steaks between three of us, 6-7ibs worth of red meat. We were informed that we could not do this and that we had to order a steak per person. Not so accommodating for a quiet restaurant in the middle of a credit crisis. We ended up leaving and going to a place close by, The Waterside Inn where the steaks were half the price And excellent. Go to snooks if you want ripped off by staff that don't realise the importance of exceeding expectations. If you're thinking of going to Snooks, don't, try The Waterside Inn, the staff were 100% more attentive and accommodating. Snooks, you should know that business is hard for everyone and you should never let people walk out your restaurant because you have 'laws' or rules. If someone is not satisfied with something there is more chance of them sharing the bad experience than if they have a good experience. I will NEVER visit your restaurant again, your loss as my friend just booked a table of 20 for Xmas where the booking should have gone to you.

just back from snooks , and still hungry, ordered fillet steak and started laughing when the brought it over asked where the rest of it was to be told that it shrinks when cooked husband was glad he asked for the bigger t bone, the service was really bad had to go up to the bar and ask for drinks, clear the table and sweet menu all at separate times never got offered tea or coffee was fed up waiting paid the bill when leaving, would not waste my money have been in a lot better places for less money and better service the place could do with a make over to make more modern seem to be stuck in the 80s with red carpet and nicer table wear sorry wont be back

Had a lovely meal 2nite with my husband, daughter and 2 sons. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a groupon voucher 4 2 of the meals with deserts which were excellent value 4 money but whoever dished out the ice-cream for the desert that we paid £4.94 for should be ashamed of themselves!! There wasn't even enough to fill a cone, no cream, no sauce no sprinkles and served in a bowl that looked like it came from your old granny's kitchen!! Boo-hoo Snooks!!

Would NOT RECOMMEND! My wife and I went to Snooks for lunch one day. Upon arrival everything went well, we were seated, given both the regular menu as well as the light bite menu. We both had ordered the sirloin steak medium well, I asked for steak and chips only. The server did not write down our order, told the chef,(if you can call him that) our order, anyone who has been there knows the kitchen is within earshot of the tables, we distinctly heard our server say medium rare. As the server passed I politely asked him if the steaks we ordered will be medium well, he replied yes. We got our lunch, and to our dismay, there was everything I didn't want on right there on my plate, except the chips that i did not receive, I sent it back. My wife then cut into her steak and found it to be medium rare, just at this point my steak returned, and it to was medium rare! We sent them back, the chef, began to use profane language, stating what the f*** is wrong now?, what the f*** do they want this time?! Unacceptable! We were so put off by the whole experience, we will NEVER be going back. I would also advise anyone else to think twice about going!

So. I went to Snooks last night and its decent. The actual steak was cooked perfectly and was good quality meat. We booked for the Light Bite Menu (half price before 6.30pm). When we walked in we were given the full price menu and I had to ask for the cheaper option. I had homemade lentil soup to start and other half had chilli poppers, soup was tasty and came with a bit of warm French stick style baguette. The chilli poppers were fine, about 5 on the plate and a spicy sauce and salad. For main course we both ordered sirloin with chips (medium). The steak was perfectly cooked, the chips seemed freshly fried and were served to share. We ordered a side of battered onion rings which were nice and crispy. The atmosphere was a bit cold. We were the only people in the place and they had Celine Dion's hits on the CD player. It would be a good place to go on a lads night I think, not really a place for couples or for a special meal. You wouldn't take someone on a date or for an anniversary. We were £33 all in which is a good price, I'd probably go again if I wanted a quick bite in a rush.

Went along to Snooks for dinner with my mum and son...what a night we had. The staff are very warm and welcoming and can't do enough for you to make your evening an enjoyable one. After looking at the menu, we couldn't decide on what to order - there is so much to choose from, such variety. Finally, we did decide and we weren't disappointed with our choice. The starters were delicious, but our main meals even more so.The Surf n Turf and T-bone Steak were mouthwatering. Our waiter was especially helpful when it came to my sons favourite meal of chicken nuggets - he asked if he would prefer batter or breadcrumbs on the freshly prepared chicken. Didnt think we would have room for dessert, but after seeing what was on offer we just had to try.... choca roca cheescake was to die for! It makes a nice change to go out to a restaurant with friendly, attentive staff instead of the usual conveyor belt of get them in and out. I'll be back.

We had a family celebration on a Saturday night in April. The place was deserted. The food was nice, however we had eaten when under previous owners and can honestly say there is a difference. My son opted for a kids burger meal, in a steakhouse you would have expected no problem, however the burger was flat and very dried out and looked like it may have been frozen. The prices are, in my opinion, quite high in terms of value for money. Given that a local restaurant not that far away are offering carvery buffets from £5 per head (slightly more at weekends), and was filled to bursting more or less sums it up
