Do not bother to get any cakes from this bakery. Quality very poor and definitely not made on the premises! The owner, I presume and his wife were extremely rude when we asked if the cakes were freshly baked and made us feel as if we were insulting them by asking the question. The gentleman although wearing gloves seemed unaware he could be cross contaminating the food by not using appropriate food tongs. Over priced for the quality of food we bought.

My advice would be to not eat in this restaurant! We went on out holiday end of July 08, As it has a bakery downstairs we assumed that the food would be home cooked. we ordered the cornish pasty & chips whilst my sister ordered jacket potato. for starters her potato was uncooked so she could not eat it and our pasties were absolutely disgusting. mine was supposed to be cheese potato & onion but it was really just potato with a few spices. my mums was supposed to be traditional cornish but it was just a lot o mush which was also pink so it was obviously uncooked. when the Bill came and it was over £30 i was not impressed. I asked the waitress if they ask if their customers are satisfied with their meal, she looked at me with her nose in the air and stated we normally do, why what's wrong with yours, i advised her of the above, a second waitress came over and said we don't make the pasties we just cook them (this is obviously what they serve in their bakery too) waitresses were not at all bothered that we were unsatisfied with our meals as they will always receive new customers whereas local pubs have to keep up their reputations. i was absolutely disgusted with the treatment i received and would not return even if i was paid!
