Spoon World Buffet and Bar first opened in Chatham in 2012 and now has branches in Basildon, Portsmouth and Ipswich on St Matthew’s Street. Each follows the same successful formula of providing diners with a huge choice of dishes and cuisines from around the world at one fixed price. You will not go hungry at Spoon! There’s a choice of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Italian, Carvery and Kebab as well as a selection of Desserts. And live cooking stations include Teppanyaki, Pizza, Pancakes and Roasts. Spoon is fully licensed and is open from 5pm weekdays and 12 noon at weekends

Food was great , atmosphere a bid loud but it's an all you can eat world buffet. So to be expected. Plenty of staff clearing plates off tables and replenishing food. It does what it says on the tin, staff polite , busy but not run ragged

Took my daughter and friends here for her birthday tonight. Had a booking at 6 but the table wasn't ready for us when we arrived, we were charged as we entered, we got taken over two dirty tables then left. Someone did come over and clean the tables shortly after. We were sat in the lovely location of next to the toilets. We weren't at any point offered any drink so my husband went and asked and we were then charged £15 for refillable glasses. Our table was broken so we couldn't put any weight on it whatsoever which made eating an interesting challenge. The food it's self was okay. There was a large selection most of of it edible but not particularly enjoyable. The place was loud and busy with lots of unsupervised young children putting hands all over various food and then putting it back. I wouldn't recommend or return unfortunately. Very disappointing as the concept sounds like heaven but in theory, I'd avoid

Normally come here for birthdays and we enjoy it, but this time was not very nice, the food quality was horrible, £26 each is normally good there but not sure I will go again

Mmmm, First visit. 1st impressions, dinning room at a 1star hotel in Ibiza. Obviously eating at this restaurant anytime apart from lunch, you wont see a full range of food. The sushi was dry and tasteless, the range of Chinese food was good and tasty, and that was all that was on offer. Tried it, it was an experience, wouldn't go back, would I recommend it, NO.

This was our first visit. We were amazed at the amount of different choices & variety of foods. All freshly cooked & constantly being refilled. Looking forward to our next visit.
