About Spoon World Buffet and Bar

Spoon World Buffet and Bar first opened in Chatham in 2012 and now has branches in Ipswich, Basildon and Portsmouth, housed within the Cascades Shopping Centre. Each follows the same successful formula of providing diners with a huge choice of dishes and cuisines from around the world at one fixed price. You will not go hungry at Spoon! There’s a choice of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Italian, Carvery and Kebab as well as a selection of Desserts. And live cooking stations include Teppanyaki, Pizza, Pancakes and Roasts. Spoon is fully licensed and is open from 5pm weekdays and 12 noon at weekends.

Nightmare evening here, lots of children running around and out of control. Nobody did anything to stop this. They nearly knocked people over who were carrying hot food. Food was being replenished infrequently. Which was very unusual. Food quality was good.

I've been a fair few times now, and enjoyed every experience But last Saturday was disappointing, walking around, food trays where empty, some where taking off the menu, no plates Shame really .. because like I said I've enjoyed every experience. It seems ABIT of disasters that night, tbh it wasn't even that busy

Took the family here to celebrate my son’s birthday, the service was very efficient, tables were cleared in good time and the variety of food was grand. Everyone enjoyed the food, desserts and drinks. Will be returning.

Found a sizeable chunk of plastic in the food and when showed the manager he was less than phased, was toward the end of the meal and was offered a voucher, when asked where the voucher was we were told it was a voucher for a refillable drink pointless when we were toward the end and had already purchased these Lots of the food was barely warm and one lady told me the custard would get warmer when I put it in the bowl
