went to Stables for our wedding anniversary - taking along our 7 month old daughter. We were well looked after, the food was great and would recommend the tapas dessert.

On a recent shopping trip to Wigan, a town famous for its love of pies, we visited what must have been the only cafe which does not serve this local delicacy. The Stables Brasserie was a revelation , a cosy brasserie / cafe on Millgate. Lovely contemporary style decor, good brasserie style food and attentive service. Delighted to note that they have monthly theme nights featuring different countries cuisine. Visit them soon, it gets very busy at lunch time.

Dined for the first time at Stables last night - the food was simply beautiful! Ordered roasted goats cheese followed by fish casserole and so glad I did! The best culinary experience that I can remember having in and around the Wigan area. Good value too as got 3 courses from the full a la carte menu for £15!

Been many times now in the first year of opening, happy birthday!
Great steak, and lets not forget the wine and Davids special coffee. Just what Wigan needs, some where that you can get great local food with out paying stupid prices. see you all very soon. Alison, Paul & Alice
