About Suree’s Kitchen

Tucked away at street level within the picturesque courtyard of The White Hart Inn, Suree’s Kitchen enjoys a charming riverside setting just moments from the River Severn. Chef Suree’s fresh, authentic flavours have earned her a loyal following and a string of accolades, including Shropshire Curry Chef of the Year and, most recently, Midlands Chef of the Year 2026. Recognised as a ‘Hidden Gem’ by The Good Food Guide, Suree’s is known for freshly prepared dishes inspired by Thai family recipes, homemade sauces, carefully balanced spices and a warm, personal style of hospitality. It’s open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings serving traditional Thai cuisine with a British twist, showcasing Shropshire ingredients. Suree’s also offers a popular Thai Tapas-style lunch menu on Fridays and Saturdays, giving diners the chance to enjoy a lighter, street-food inspired taste of Thailand during the day. The restaurant is air conditioned - also during summer months a selection of outdoor tables are available for those booked inside the restaurant on a daily allocation by request, to enjoy dining in the courtyard. Occasional Thai cookery masterclasses are also held on selected Saturdays. And  for those wishing to stay over, The White Hart Inn offers five recently updated cosy en-suite bedrooms, making it an ideal base for a food-led visit to Ironbridge.

Beautiful food, beautiful setting amazing perfect service. This is an experience not just a meal. I honestly can not complain about any item we were served, except maybe that the portions were a bit small. The food was incredible and I was beyond thrill when not only did the Chef come to our table but also let me take a pic with her. This really is a wonderful little restaurants that everyone in Telford should experience. Thank you for the yummy food.

We returned again this week with our daughter and her partner. We wanted somewhere with guaranteed fantastic food and amazing service so where else is there to go other than Suree’s!? As always- Jo was there to offer a friendly and familiar welcome and we were of course delighted by the Thai tapas and my favourite dessert of all time- the deep fried ice cream. Consistently fabulous- it’s our first choice - thank you for another amazing Saturday lunchtime meal x

Our latest visit of many to Surees Kitchen was once again exceptional. The flavours within each course are exquisite and it is unlike any other Thai food that I’ve ever had. It is no surprise that Suree won the best chef of the year in the Midlands in 2026. She has a real talent for combing dishes so they all compliment each other. Her desserts are also delicious from the honeycomb cheesecake, deep fried ice cream and matcha tiramisu, we have never been disappointed. All the staff are incredibly friendly and add a lovely personal touch to the experience. We’re already looking forward to returning and can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Having been to Suree's Kitchen for evening meals we decided to try out the Tapas Lunch and were not disappointed. A good choice of dishes, together with some good specials from the board, made a tasty and enjoyable lunch. All helped by the front of house team who went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. We will definitely be going again - thank you very much!
