disgusting service disgusting food- must be up to something other than cooking food!

Food's average here but the real let down is the staff who look at you as if you're intruders when you walk in. You're still treated like intruders throughout the meal. They need to learn to smile and show the same courtesy that successful restaurants do perhaps then they might get some recommends.

The staff have obviously never been to any other Indian restaurant - if they had they would have picked up habits like smiling at customers when they come in; acknowledging the customer's order rather than sneering. The staff might also realise that it isnt the done thing to scream at each other in the kitchen in full hearing of the customer. If their open animosity to anyone wishing to spend their money with them is anything to go by then one can only wonder if that stretches to their hygiene levels in the kitchen. I would rather not chance it again. The food however, once it was thrown at you on the table, isnt that bad.

Whilst the food was of reasonable quality, the level of service is the worst I have ever come across. Whilst taking our order, the waiter stopped to take a mobile phone call. This caused him to get the starters wrong (although he blamed this on his non-English speaking assistant). We then had to wait for almost an hour for the next course, despite asking several members of staff what had happened to it. When it came, the same waiter virtually threw the dishes at us and was extremely aggressive. I asked to see the manager and was told that this aggressive, inefficient individual was the manager!! He became even more aggressive when he realised we were complaining so, fearing violence, I quickly paid the bill and came away. Not an experience I would want to ever repeat!!!

it was an experience of lake district that I would to forget We had travelled as a family including our infant to the lake district . While at the restaurant we were given a cold welcome by staff and after waiting for some to get a table ,an extremely rude person who identified himself as the manager told us we could not not be served as we were with the baby. When asked why ? refused to comment Unlike the name the place lacks culture /tolerance and least of all courtesy. enter on your own risk .Other Tandori down the road has better ambience and staff
