Recently relocated to Newland Avenue in Hull, the Aegean Taverna is one of the city’s most popular restaurants, a perennial favourite at the top of the city’s TripAdvisor listings. It’s a slice of Greek sunshine with a real taverna feel to it and a buzzy atmosphere with space for close to 100 people. It’s open from 4pm daily, Monday to Saturday, offering diners an extensive choice of home-cooked Greek specialities. You’ll find classics such as Kleftiko, Moussaka, Souvlaki and Kebabs alongside steaks and chops from the charcoal grill, a good choice of fish and seafood dishes, lots of hot and cold appetisers and toothsome desserts like Baklava. Or if you can't decide, just go for the Meze, a selection of starters, fish, meat and salad dishes. Keep your eyes peeled too for the regular live music events here.
