About The Bay Horse at Ravensworth

The Bay Horse at Ravensworth is a traditional country pub with a reputation for excellent food, well-kept ales and warm hospitality. Family run, it’s recently been refurbished and is just a short drive north west of Richmond in the North Yorkshire countryside. There’s a front bar for casual drinkers, a snug, a restaurant area and an outdoor garden. Dogs are welcome too, except in the main restaurant. Produce is locally sourced where possible and you can choose from the main menu and a selection of weekly specials. Food is served Wednesday to Saturdays evenings and at Sunday lunch.

Lovely experience at The Bay Horse. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food is delicious, we had fresh rolls and fritters to start then steak and ale pie and the roast beef alongside the best accompanying vegetables I've had in ages. Unfortunately no room for pudding :(

My partner and I booked a table here during our weekend break away and it did not disappoint! Yes, initially it looked expensive but for the amount of food that we got and the quality.m, it was more than worth it. The owners were so friendly and nothing was too much to ask. We highly recommend and will definitely be returning when we are next in the area.

The Sunday lunch was fantastic - probably the best roast beef we’ve ever had. Everything was perfect. The warmth of the welcome, and the efficiency of all the staff, made it a really super lunch. It is highly recommended and we will definitely return

Excellent Sunday lunch. We come here regularly for an evening meal usually. It's never disappointed. You receive a warm welcome on arrival and they always make sure to say farewell and check you have been happy with your meal. The food and hospitality are a 10 out of 10 every time we've been If you like fish dishes, you are especially in for a treat. Can't recommend highly enough.

Very accommodating for a party of 7 with 3 labradors, and a GF and vegetarian in the group - all suitably catered for. Very warm welcome and service in a warm and welcoming pub. Food is excellent - the best beef roast dinner I know of in the area and desserts are excellent - pricey but very good size! We were asked to pre-order but that's perfectly ok and helped make things run very smoothly on the day - especially as we were booked late pm on a Sunday. Couldn't recommend it highly enough - 4th visit and loved it every time! Its not the cheapest meal but if you like high quality, delicious food then you wont be disappointed and we will certainly be back again sometime soon.
