About The Black Horse
The Black Horse is an eighteenth century pub situated in the heart of the pretty village of Woburn. It's part of Peach Pubs, an award-winning independent group of gastropubs. Behind the characterful terraced frontage is a cosy bar with leather sofas that leads on to a smart restaurant area. To the rear of the building, and accessed through a carriage arch to the side, sits a peaceful courtyard garden which was recently recommended in the Independent on Sunday. The Black Horse serves food seven days a week, opening at 11am for coffees and serving lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and drinks right through until 10pm. Head Chef Hazel Faulkner trained in AA-rosetted kitchens and her menus are big on seasonal and ethically sourced produce including free-range chicken and 28-day-dry-aged Aberdeenshire rump cap steak.
