We had a really good time for my son’s birthday. Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it

Had the lunchtime lighter meals. Really happy with quality

Took my family here for Sunday lunch. The food was great, the service was great and for the most part I thought the prices were inline with how all food everywhere seems to have increased in price over recent years. Only complaint is that the cost of the sides compared to the small portion size, seemed a little excessive.

I booked a table for 4 and our table was in the restaurant. Within 20 minutes a large party of mostly gentlemen arrived. They were incredibly loud and boisterous and obviously partially inebriated so we asked to move. We were swiftly followed by two further tables who asked to move. That’s three tables wanting to move and who moved! We were moved and the food etc was good. When we went to pay, I commented about the noisy party but was told that they’d spent £400 in the restaurant. I bit my tongue. So what. You let one party effectively ruin the experience of other diners because they were drunk, loud and had spent money. I’m afraid the response should have been, I’m sorry and they will be told about their behaviour and noise. Poor on behalf of the staff. Spoiled a nice evening out with friends

Great meal. Shame about the noisy crowd of diners that caused three tables to request a move! (All did move) When I spoke to the manager at the end of our meal he justified their presence by telling me they’d paid over £400 in the pub! I had to bite my tongue as I was so disappointed with this response. They caused three tables to move and they were so loud you could barely hear each other at the table. Money being spent should never trump the dining experience of others. They should have been told to quieten down or leave. Shame as this is one of my favourite pubs for lunch and evening meals. I expected better from the staff.

Table for 2 on Friday we had the fish and chips the food was really good it was cooked well and came out hot. The staff were exceptional, happy to help and willing to go that little bit extra to make our visit as pleasant as possible. Really enjoyed it

First visit to the pub. Staff very friendly. Slightly disappointed with the food. I ordered the lamb shank, it was alright but a bit light on the vegetables and there was more bone than meat so, not worth the price . Ordered 2 desserts but one of them couldn't be found so just went for the one dessert. Ordered the sticky toffee pudding which was nice but it was only luke warm.

Second visit to the Bricklayers and both times it was a great experience. A friendly greeting as you come through the door. Meals are hearty and delicious. The menu is quite comprehensive for anyone who is gluten free, myself included . Will definitely be back.
