About The Copper Cow

Situated on Burnley Road just outside Sowerby Bridge, The Copper Cow is a restaurant and bar with a varied menu specialising in steaks and gin. The menu changes seasonally offering a selection of steaks, signature burgers, kebabs, homemade pies, salads and desserts. Their Homemade Corned Beef Hash is a great example of the hearty food on offer. Vegetarian and vegan diners are catered for with options available on the menu and gluten-free dishes are also indicated. The drinks selection consists of continental lagers, draught ciders and IPA, hand-pulled local ales and a wide selection of gins, cocktails, wines and other spirits. The Copper Cow also has an outside area for the warmer months.

Second time we’ve had Sunday lunch here. We don’t live close but now when we are in the area we make it a must. It’s the best Sunday lunch I’ve had for a long time. Fantastic.

As regular visitors to the Copper Cow we came for Sunday dinner yesterday, couldn’t fault it at all. We both had the lamb it was very tasty and the gravy was subliminal. Good service and great wine.

Amazing Sunday roast beef dinner, served pink as requested. My friend had the vegetarian toad in the hole which she really enjoyed too. Accompaniments and veg were spot on! Staff were friendly & professional. We arrived early for our booking and were seated promptly. Would return & definitely recommend if you haven't tried before. Ideal location for a meet up between Manchester and Leeds.

What can you say about the copper cow. It’s very welcoming, the atmosphere is great, very helpful staff and the food is well worth the drive over from Manchester. Only negative if you forget to book chances are you’re not getting. Which in itself shows you how good it is. 5 ***** from me.

Celebrating a family member's birthday and Copper Cow is our favourite place to do this, good food along with a warm welcome. Our favourite choice of Sunday meal is roast beef with all the trimmings and it was excellent as always. Puddings for two, ice cream and chocolate sundae finished it off nicely.
