My friend and I went to the Crown for lunch. The pub is lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. My friend had the pie and mash and I had the burger. The dishes were very nicely presented and the portions were on the large size. The food was delicious. The pies are made on the premises and the beef and ale pie was full to the brim with melting in the mouth beef and gravy. The beefburger was cooked to perfection. One little comment would be for the chef to go easier on the salt. Great experience and we will definitely go back.

A great discovery in advance of long riverside walk

Service and servers in general were great and the food is really good (best roast outside of home) BUT we had to wait just over an hour for our Sunday roast main course to arrive and then one meal was forgotten and we had to ask for it. We had pre-booked for 2pm, so not as though they weren't expecting us. No idea what the problem was and nobody explained the long wait so a bit disappointing. Would go again though as food so good and just hope for quicker service.

I can honestly say that this was one of the best gastro pub meals we had. The pie and mash plus amazing veggies were superb. The service was also brilliant and would definitely recommend a visit

We booked lunch for Sunday Roast for 4 adults on 27/09. The roasts were excellent and we were served quickly .The staff were all very attentive and helpful. This was our first visit and we will come again. Also it is a great location for a walk to the river and good parking.
