About The Denbigh

Dating back to 1867, The Denbigh in Bexhill is a family friendly pub with a great reputation for its food. The menu offers a mix of traditional British and contemporary international dishes and popular choices include curries, fish pie, duck salad, steak and kidney pudding and their Sunday Roasts. The restaurant is split over two tiers and you can also dine in the bar area which is dog-friendly. The Denbigh has a warm and welcoming feel with fireplaces in the winter and an extensive beer garden for al fresco dining in the summer months. Functions for up to 40 people can be catered for and there is also a takeaway and outside catering service available.

We went for a Sunday lunch yesterday.The roasts were very nice and plentiful. The service was very friendly,helpful and speedy. The atmosphere was pleasant and not intrusive. The cost was acceptable and we will return.

We went for a meal during Pie Week. We had a lovely evening with great food and service. The pies had generous portions of meat and we enjoyed the side portions of vegetables.Although the staff were very busy they always made sure we were catered for. Will be returning soon hopefully.

Went with the family for the pie week. We all had the chicken & gammon pie for lunch. Some had mash, some chips. All served with fresh veg. We all really enjoyed our pies. Some had puddings which all went down well. Portions for all the food was good. Staff were all very friendly & service was excellent. Will certainly return.

We went to Pie Night and thoroughly enjoyed the steak pie and the fidgety pie. Packed with meal and beautifully cooked. Lots of veg on the side. I would question whether potatoes are necessary when the pie has pastry or a mash potato topping so I swapped mine out for extra veg. We will certainly visit again. Great service - very friendly. Dog friendly too.

The only thing that I was not happy with was the church pew that I sat on along with another couple on the next table. The bench constantly moved back and forward as the couple moved. I didn’t feel I could ask them to sit still. Better seating would have improved my experience Everything else was great thanks

It's the only place, that I know of, in my area that I can get Steak and Kidney pudding - homemade too. It's full of big chunks of steak and kidney and the pastry is a delight. If I could just teach Southerners that gravy should nearly stand up for itself it would be perfect lol. It was Rye Scallops week when we went and 2 of our party had the scallops with lobster bisque risotto and our 4th had the fish pie. We all enjoyed our meals. Although we were getting full we managed to have dfssert. Crimble Crumble and custard. A good end to a wonderful meal.

Great service for me and my two sons who had travelled down to enjoy tha steak and kidney pudding.. they were not disappointed lovely grub full of tasty meat
