The Dove Freehouse and Kitchen has been at the heart of Broadway Market in Hackney for more than 30 years. They have one of the best selections of beers in London with more than 100 bottled beers and a wide choice of draft ales from the UK, Belgium and around the world to choose from. Plus there’s a small but perfectly formed selection of wines, cocktails and alcohol-free options. The food offering includes British pub classics, burgers and Sunday Roasts alongside a great choice of Thai dishes with vegan, veggie and gluten-free options as standard. Everyone is welcome here and The Dove is also enthusiastically dog-friendly. And Wednesday night here is Quiz Night.

Love this place. Got the fish and chips (chips were a little soggy). We had fantastic service from an Australian woman (I think she was new). Super friendly and helpful. Thanks

Have to say this place was rather disappointing and gone down hill for me. Been going to this since 2003 and know Paul well and varna but the food was not good last night, the fish n chips well the batter was absolutely rock hard and the chips were very crunchy, the chicken burger was not nice either, very oily batter. The food standard is not good and got worse over the years. The noise as well was shocking at one stage I had to tell a group to tone it down as it was ridiculous, thought I was back in the trenches! Live the beer regardless and will go again soon but will have to think about the food if I’m going to have

Had a fabulous time at the pub quiz this week! It was a very tricky one, but great fun! My vegetarian pie and mash was absolutely delicious! And there is a great selection of local beers to try! Will definitely come again
