Alex, Rhe and the team provide a warm welcome and excellent service at this Evington pub and restaurant in Leicester’s eastern suburbs. Great-value classic British pub food is served in the bar and large garden area with fresh, innovative dishes with an Asian twist available in the newly refurbished restaurant. It’s a very family friendly venue too and dogs are welcome in both the bar area and garden. The Dove is open for lunch and dinner every day (except Sunday evening) and the bar has a selection of real ales as well as wines, spirits and soft drinks. And if you’re planning a special party or event you can hire a marquee or private garden area.

Visited with friends on a Saturday night. Restaurant was busy and we did have to wait a while before our food arrived. It was worth the wait, the food was hot (lukewarm food is a particular no no with me) and very tasty. The Service was good with staff checking in to see if we were okay and needed anything. We went to the Dove on the recommendation of a friend, so glad with did.

The pie was delicious, the beef was fine but the pork was a little dry. Overall the visit was pleasant, service good with a good atmosphere.
