About The Dukes Head

Nestled in the picturesque Essex village of Hatfield Broad Oak, just a few miles northeast of Harlow, The Dukes Head is a charming, family friendly pub with a seasonally changing menu. Food is served lunch and dinner every day Tuesday to Saturday, as well as Sunday Lunch from 12 noon to 6pm. The menu is a delightful mix of classic British pub fare, with everything from hearty pies and delicious roasts to lighter bites and seasonal specials. The pub also has an extensive drinks selection with cask ales, lagers, wines and cocktails. And on sunny days the beer garden at The Dukes Head is not to be missed.

We booked a table on the spur of the moment and very last minute. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar, within 5 minutes our table was ready. We both ordered the roast dinner, and it was delicious. Plenty of flavour, cooked to perfection and very tasty. Clean plates all round and very full belly’s! The service was excellent. If you are looking for a tasty Sunday treat, I would not hesitate to recommend The Dukes Head.
