Love the Farmers arms - food, service from lovely staff and ambience second to none. Clearly lots of thought has gone into the menu's and there is an eye for detail throughout - not ostentatious but homely and fab quality Happy to travel there from Sunderland for a lovely time.

Have been to the Farmers Arms twice in the past week. Three courses both times and I can honestly say the food is excellent and value for money. The staff are polite and greet you with a smile. A nice quiet country pub/restaurant, we worth a visit.

We went for Sunday lunch and both had the duo of meats and a dessert each. The food arrived quickly and tasted lovely. The portions are a good size and the staff are pleasant. The lighting is very dark in there depending on where we have sat ( we’ve been a few times now). The only other thing I would complain at is the cost of the soft drinks. A blackcurrant cordial and water was over £2 which I thought was steep.

A frequent haunt of ours, this time a quiet birthday lunch. As usual first class food. Nice surroundings and starter and drinks arrived very quickly. The mains took longer. But they are freshly prepared and cooked to order First class to all the staff
