We always enjoy our meal here the food is excellent as are the staff. We are always welcomed as if old friends we love going to the farmers arms xx we are a family of 7 and no one has ever complained about the food I love the chips as they are cooked to my liking brown not pasty white well done chef.

Really disappointed with last nights visit, having had some nice meals there previously. Positives - fish and chips were nice, and the duck spring rolls tasty. Negatives - Chicken was very dry, Parmos awful with no bechamel sauce, half of the chips were black, no sauces. Half of the table were finished their starters before the other half got theirs. Waited 30 mins for a drink. Toilets need some tlc including either paper hand towels or a working hand dryer. I usually like the quirky-ness of the place, however it was so dark last night, we couldn’t read the menu or barely see each other! The lady on the till was lovely and did take off all of the ‘extra supplements’ (£3 for chips, extra £4 for most of the meals so never works out as cheap as the 3 course for £10, more like £20pp but I expected it). Hope it was just a blip but it has put us off

We went there the other day. The food was lovely although the chips were not great. No drinks list was given and the waitress didn't know what drinks or wine they had which was very frustrating as this is the second time this has happened. But apart from that we had a lovely time

The first time at The Farmers. Sunday Lunch was very good. Just one thing. I think they should reduce the number of different vegetables on the plate. It seemed a bit of overkill. Will be back. No hesitation.

Came for steak night and again the farmers never disappoints. Beautiful steak perfectly cooked, tasty chips and the best value around. You have to try it

Wonderful meal at Farmers Arms. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. The katsu curry is gorgeous and those who ordered the roast dinner loved the gammon and vegetables and said there was huge portion of food. Wonderful meal for the price paid and quality. The crumble is lovely and good choice of drinks at the bar. Staff are so lovely and friendly. Compliments to the chef.

We always come here as we enjoy the food so much. However I order the prawn spagetti and asked wat the sauce was and was told either tomato or creamy sauce. I chose creamy. It was soooo spicy I couldn't eat it and had to swap meals with my hubby. I dont like spice at all. My hubby does and he said it had a real strong chilli kick so he enjoyed it. I was disappointed though as I didn't really want a what he had. so, we both didn't really end up having what we fancied.

Visited last night for tea with my husband and son. We visit quite often and always enjoy the food but last night wasn’t good I’m afraid. We are from the 3 courses for £10 menu but came away feeling like just because the food is on offer maybe the effort isn’t as good as it could be. My son and I had potato skins to start, they were burnt and I had to send mine back. The replacements were a nicer colour but still over cooked. My husbands chips which came with his pie were similar - shame because normally the potato skins and chips are to die for here. We paid extra for custard with my husbands dessert as he got apple crumble, he got about a thimble full of it and left all of the apple as it was a weird brown colour. Might have just been having an off day but we won’t be returning for a while. The girl who served us was very pleasant and approachable. Value for money score should be a 5 with an offer like that but when you are paying for substandard stuff I can’t allocate a 5
