About The Fleece
A Georgian building overlooking Witney's Church Green, The Fleece is part of Peach Pubs, an independent group of award-winning gastropubs. The building was the original home of Clinch's Brewery and was once a favoured haunt of Dylan Thomas when he lived in nearby South Leigh. The Fleece has twice been featured as one of the top 20 pubs in the UK as well as appearing in both the Michelin Guide and Alistair Sawday. It's one of the few places in Witney you can dine al fresco and also has 10 ensuite bedrooms. Food is served seven days a week from breakfast at9am right through until 10pm. The menu combines traditional pub favourites with more adventurous fare and is firmly based on quality produce including free-range chicken and 28-day-aged Casterbridge rump cap steak.
