I booked a table for 8 which included my two grandchildren aged 7 and 2. We arrived early but our table was ready. This was a Saturday lunchtime. Good varied menu with plenty of choice. All 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed their food. The children menu was good also. My grandson ate every bit of his lunch. My 2yr old granddaughter is a typical 2yr old fussy eater. My daughter in law asked if they could do either this that or the other. What came out was a little of everything that she asked for. Which we did not expect. That to us as a family was so accommodating. We couldn't thank them enough. She also ate everything thing. Will certainly be returning. Thanks again for making us welcome.

We love The Florence! We discovered it in 2025 on our trip to Portsmouth and were eager to return this year, so much so we booked our meal out before travelling!! We weren’t disappointed - the food was amazing. The venue is spotless and tastefully decorated, and most importantly the staff and service were amazing! The Florence is a dog friendly pub, but there is n area you can dine where dogs aren’t allowed. Would definitely recommend and we will go back. Already been for a drink since our evening meal!

Food was amazing slightly but not a lot above pub food prices. But you pay for what you get. Great welcoming attentive service. A very relaxing atmosphere. Exactly what the doctor ordered for a rare child free evening. I would eat here again and I would certainly recommend to others. The recommendation come from a friend and don’t disappoint.

We are on holiday here and visited The Florence Arms on a weekday evening on the recommendation of a Southsea resident. The food was excellent and plentiful . As a vegetarian, I thought the harissa burger was particularly good with delicious flavours. The staff were very friendly too.

We love Dan and the team! The new menu offers tasty small plates - love the pork belly! We even got married in the newly renovated restaurant area and Dan was so helpful and accommodating!

We had a beautiful meal and the service was friendly. It’s a cut above your usual pub grub but also reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. We were even able to have the dog with us. I had the Tuscan chicken which was delicious, others had the burger and fish of the day (sea bass risotto), all of which were apparently equally beautifully cooked. We couldn’t resist the crème brûlée with shortbread for pudding and again it was perfect.
