About The Gallery

The Gallery is an intimate late-night bar just off the waterfront in Ipswich. Expect a curated list of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits, with occasional masterclasses and late opening Thursday to Sunday (typically until midnight on Thursdays and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays). It’s housed within a characterful, listed building with exposed timber beams and is a cosy and intimate spot for couples and small groups. In 2025, The Gallery was named Best Bar in Suffolk & Cambridgeshire at the Muddy Stilettos Awards and also recognised on a national level as Finalists for Best Bar in the UK.

Wonderful cocktail bar with welcoming staff and a good drinks menu. A great place to start your evening particularly cosy in the winter months with its warm atmosphere. The advance booking of tables gives it an air of exclusivity as well as the tucked away entrance.

No food to review but cocktails are amazing , there are unisex toilets no problem it’s the way forward but I without thinking went into cubicle with my husband and I saw a sign saying one customer at a time so I left to go in other loo . Within seconds there was banging on the door and we go told to leave immediately from the premises !! We are regulars and spend a lot of money when we go , I understand the rule ( assuming because of drugs ) but I was in there for no more than 45 seconds and they could have just explained nicely instead of making us feel so small and unwelcome . Will still go as it’s a lovely bar and amazing cocktails and the staff are largely gorgeous it’s just management a bit heavy handed . I’m in my 50’s my husband in his 60’s, it was a lot ! Spoiled the night
