Since it's new owners took over a year or two ago we have been to the Gladstone several times and always had an excellent meal. You'll have to wait a while as the food is cooked from scratch, NOT microwaved! It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. When you book, ask for a table overlooking the sea; the view is superb! The staff are helpful and friendly; they stock local ales and the loos are spotless. (HINT: if you like to know how clean the kitchen of any restaurant is, check the loos first!)
