About The Globe Inn Marsh Rye

The Globe Inn sits on the outskirts of the historic East Sussex town of Rye, where the Military Canal meets the River Rother. Modern yet traditional, this pretty clapperboard pub with a marine theme only opened in 2013 but has built up a loyal local following. Expect warm hospitality, eclectic ‘sheep-shack-chic’ interiors and a kitchen that specialises in using fresh and local produce to create innovative home-cooked food from Field, Farm and Sea. They also stock a wide range of beers from local breweries, ranging from small batch ales to unique craft beers and traditional ciders. The Globe Inn has regular live music events and can also cater for private parties and celebrations in ‘The Hobbyist’, an upstairs private dining space.

Visiting from South Africa. Had the best sunday roast yesterday. It was so tasty and generous portions. Quality of food was next level. Will definitely book again for sunday roast before going back home. I was also very impressed to see the interesting things on offer at the pub.

We had a wonderful meal at The Globe! There were five of us and we had been allocated a lovely area of the restaurant. The decor is cosy and quirky. This is our second time here at The Globe and the food didn’t disappoint. It was delicious. I had the fish (Hook & Cook) which just melted in the mouth. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed there meals. We’ll definitely be back

We went to this pub for Sunday lunch. Passing outside frequently, we wanted to see if inside was as nice as the outside. Friendly atmosphere. We ordered 2 roast lamb roast dinners. Impressive to look at, and lovely throughout. Quality food at a price that suits. 2 desserts and 3 drinks, just under £85

The best pub. Flying in from Canada, organising a family get together. Staff & particularly Elio have been so helpful. Can't recommend this place enough. Food was great! Romney marsh lamb. Yum.
