About The Globe Inn Marsh Rye

The Globe Inn sits on the outskirts of the historic East Sussex town of Rye, where the Military Canal meets the River Rother. Modern yet traditional, this pretty clapperboard pub with a marine theme only opened in 2013 but has built up a loyal local following. Expect warm hospitality, eclectic ‘sheep-shack-chic’ interiors and a kitchen that specialises in using fresh and local produce to create innovative home-cooked food from Field, Farm and Sea. They also stock a wide range of beers from local breweries, ranging from small batch ales to unique craft beers and traditional ciders. The Globe Inn has regular live music events and can also cater for private parties and celebrations in ‘The Hobbyist’, an upstairs private dining space.

It was my first time at the Globe in Rye as meeting up with friends. The waitress was very good and her maner was excellent. We ordered drinks while looking at the menu. Our order was taken and arrived not long after and it was nicely presented on our plates & tasted amazing. We ordered pudding which I ordered the bucket for 2 sharing which I managed to finish. Love that it came in bucket with a spade Brilliant. Definitely go again.

Second visit this month. Avoided over priced dish with limited content. 3 of us ordered steak and ale pie + spiced mussels. Service and food better though still expensive. Not the venue for a regular visit. I note that most positive reviews are from visitors not locals.

Twelve of us had a lovely meal at the Globe on Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and everyone had an enjoyable evening.

Recently had a large group of us visit the Globe Inn we had to sit upstairs as there wasn’t enough room groan big group like us (17 people) the staff they were lovely, very friendly. The place feels very homey and cosy. Food was amazing I honestly couldn’t fault the place. If I lived closer I’d be there every Sunday. Thanks again for you hospitality! :)

Oh , how I love this pub/ restaurant. The decor, the staff and the food are wonderful ! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of our delicious lunch, and the staff were terrific ! I live in Whitstable and every time I visit Rye , I always choose the Globe. The roast Sunday lunches are worth travelling for …..
