About The Globe Inn Marsh Rye

The Globe Inn sits on the outskirts of the historic East Sussex town of Rye, where the Military Canal meets the River Rother. Modern yet traditional, this pretty clapperboard pub with a marine theme only opened in 2013 but has built up a loyal local following. Expect warm hospitality, eclectic ‘sheep-shack-chic’ interiors and a kitchen that specialises in using fresh and local produce to create innovative home-cooked food from Field, Farm and Sea. They also stock a wide range of beers from local breweries, ranging from small batch ales to unique craft beers and traditional ciders. The Globe Inn has regular live music events and can also cater for private parties and celebrations in ‘The Hobbyist’, an upstairs private dining space.

Had a lovely lunch at the Globe. Shared the chicken roast which was delicious. We had dogs with us which was no problem. Waitress brought treats and water for them which was very sweet. Thank you

We were a party of four that dined at The Globe last Saturday and all had a lovely evening. We sat outside under the shade and well protected from the early evening heat. All of the girls that attended to us were welcoming, friendly and very efficient.We had a variety of different dishes - all excellent and delicious. The Globe has a lovely atmosphere and ambience and we’ll definitely dine there again.

Had a lovely meal at the Globe on Sunday, as has always been the case. It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Quality. Very attentive staff too

We had1 Burger and 1 Hook and Cook Burger was good, Fish was Seabream fillet which for price was very small portion. Then had dessert of Strawberry Eton Mess which was just a lump of whipped cream with 6 pieces of strawberries and a small scattering of meringue so quite disappointing for the price

What a fabulous pub/restaurant- lovely welcome and this level of service continued throughout, great selection of drinks and food which was simply delicious. No complaints at all. We will be back. What a great team.
