About The Golden Goose

The Golden Goose in Redditch is a popular pub and carvery serving food seven days a week from 9am to 8pm. A freshly cooked breakfast is available from 9am to 12 noon with the carvery and a la carte menu served right through from noon until 8pm. There are always four succulent joints available (beef, pork, turkey and gammon) with Yorkshire pudding, fresh seasonal vegetables and all the trimmings. And the carvery runs alongside a selection of a la carte main courses, burgers, vegetarian dishes and tasty desserts, all available for takeaway too. The Golden Goose has a small drinkers bar as well as the main restaurant plus an extensive beer garden with gazebo and children’s play area.

I can honestly say that the Golden Goose is one of my absolute favourite places to go for a meal on any occasion, whether just fancying a carvery for Sunday lunch, a get together with friends, or the work's Christmas meal. Although it is always busy (not surprisingly) it is definitely worth the wait. We usually book in advance (recommended), but have also dropped in on the off chance of an available table. The staff (despite being really busy) are always friendly and courteous. I usually have the carvery which is absolutely insane with its choice of meats and vegetables, always cooked just as your mum would cook at home and full of flavour. The meat portions are always very generous and you can have as much veg as you like. Honestly I have never had a pudding as I am always too full. My staff (on our works do) had food off the main menu and said it was delicious. Exceptional value for money too. Definitely worth a visit.

We arrived 10mins early and were not greeted with a warm welcome but “you’re early !” Judging by the queue of over 10 people at the bar it was just aswell we arrived early! The venue was decorated beautifully however it’s a shame we couldn’t say the same about the food, it was adequate is all I can describe it as , meat was cold as was most of the vegetables and a shame you had to walk back on yourself for condiments…. We won’t be rushing back unfortunately

Had a festive 3 course meal here last night. It was absolutely delicious. Every course was perfect and the cost was incredible. This is fantastic value for money and will Be back next week. Beautiful decorations and lovely staff. Highly recommend
