Another great meal at the golden goose never had a bad one that's why we keep coming back. Staff always friendly aswel.

Our table was booked for 7.15….unfortunately we then had to queue for 40 minutes just to get our meal. The lady serving was on her own and also having to pack up just eat orders. We finally got to the server and a member of the staff team gave her another order so we then had to wait and watch whilst she plated up other people’s orders. This in my view is totally unacceptable, surely another person should dish up these extra orders? It was not the fault of the lady serving, in fact we all really felt for her. Although the food was nice, it certainly would make us think about going somewhere else to eat where the service was better organised.

I really fancied a carvery and after speaking with family they did too so we went to the goose on Wednesday 27th as a treat for hubby and kids. The food was delicious as usual hit the spot. The man who cut the meat was so lovely and very welcoming. We now use the goose as our local beer garden ( even if I do just have a lemonade)

I’ve had probably about 10 Carvery now on Saturday nights and they are absolutely outstanding so much choice in meats and vegetables more than enough really good value . Myself and five friends normally have a breakfast once a week and again that great value for money really enjoyable the pub is absolutely gleaming clean the staff can’t do enough for us ,it’s a really pleasant experience thanks very much and keep up the good work .

We visited for Carvery on 26/04 @ 17:30. We expected it to be busy as the reputation is very good hence why we chose here. Whilst the food was good on the whole mine was cold as a result of waiting for a Yorkshire pudding that never arrived as they literally only put them in once they had run out. (I witnessed this). Not best planned. Yes it was busy as it no doubt is every Sunday so this is a situation that shouldn't really occur. Also on arrival we were pointed in the direction of our table and told its number which was fine however I had to clear the table myself before we could sit down to eat. Why send people who have pre booked to a dirty table?

Not having been to the Goose for sometime I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The venue is very nice, the food was superb and the staff from I presume the manager to the chef and the wonderful plate collector were absolutely efficient and friendly and made our group of eight so so welcome. Everyone of us will go back there again.

We have eaten at the goose quite a few times but sadly the carvery has gone downhill,we visited 07/04/26 meat was tough and dry Yorkshire pudding came straight from the oven and were soft.everything seemed mass produced and flavourless
