About The Golden Goose

The Golden Goose in Redditch is a popular pub and carvery serving food seven days a week from 9am to 8pm. A freshly cooked breakfast is available from 9am to 12 noon with the carvery and a la carte menu served right through from noon until 8pm. There are always four succulent joints available (beef, pork, turkey and gammon) with Yorkshire pudding, fresh seasonal vegetables and all the trimmings. And the carvery runs alongside a selection of a la carte main courses, burgers, vegetarian dishes and tasty desserts, all available for takeaway too. The Golden Goose has a small drinkers bar as well as the main restaurant plus an extensive beer garden with gazebo and children’s play area.

Visited yesterday for lunch and restaurant was very busy. We all ordered the carvery and everyone agreed it was lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Excellent meal yesterday at The Golden Goose, carvery was well stocked and the desserts were delicious. Also the interior was very tastefully decorated for autumn.

Food very tasty, family all enjoyed their meal. Unfortunately queuing not enjoyed but it is what it is. Busy venue but then it was Sunday. You order at the bar and the meat cut by a chef and you self serve the vegetables you want and table cleared by staff when you've eaten Found to be good value for money Grandchildren like that there is an outdoor play area where they can go outside weather permitting

Great atmosphere, amazing service, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is phenomenal. My go to place for a carvery. My friend travels from Coventry just to come to the golden goose for a carvery

When we arrived we at our reservation time a member of staff pointed over to the table, we went and sat down unsure how this particular carvery worked, waited a couple of minutes and my husband went to ask, was told go straight up, waited in the queue for 10 min to then be told we needed to pay first and collect a ticket, went to the bar to pay and wasn’t told about the different prices, back in the queue for another 5 min to be told we had only paid for a basic meal and could only have gammon (lamb was extra) we didn’t want to wait in another queue so grabbed some food and went to sit back down only to realise there was only cutlery for 2, spent a while looking for staff and by the time I had enough cutlery mine and my husbands food had gone cold, bit of a faff after travelling 500 miles and wanting to eat before we continued our journey, made even more difficult having our autistic 11 yr old with us who had lost patience with queuing for his dinner the first time round, food was ok but the roast potatoes where pretty awful, our young daughter is gluten free and not really recommended if your a coeliac
