Best pub / restaurant - excellent freshly prepared food; wonderful warm atmosphere, and warm welcoming staff. This is the best pub - bar none! Takes a little effort to find as it is located on some back lanes, but is well worth the effort - here, you can escape from the strains of the modern world and feel so relaxed. The atmosphere of this fine old building - especially when the fires are lit throughout the colder seasons is opulent, magic and enchanting. The wine and drinks are all of great quality too! Superb!

A beautiful location with a locally sourced menu to suit all tastes. As a vegetarian I found their options exceptionally good. This makes a huge change from other places I eat. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and cannot do enough for their customers. I would highly recommend making the trip.

Went down to the Golden Grove last night after seeing their wine offer on a Friday. Lovely country pub with great atmosphere and friendly staff. Ended up trying the ales and wine! Food was delicious too. Definitely worth the trek out.
