Dating back to the eighteenth century, The Lion is a countryside pub in the heart of Priorslee, just east of Telford. The pub has an extensive beer garden out back with a play area and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a pint in the sunshine. Alternatively, a cosy corner inside by the log burner is always available with soft furnishings, warm paint colours and more fairy lights than you can imagine! At lunch there is a wide range of toasted sandwiches, paninis and baguettes as well as classics such as the Landlord’s ploughman’s lunch, homemade soup of the day and perfect pizzas. In the evening, you can expect freshly cooked meat and fish mains, pasta dishes, a burger bar and the finest homemade triple cooked chips. The Lion also caters for private functions such as wakes and retirement parties in the main dining area with a capacity of up to 100 people.
