Poor staff, rude and disorganised! Do not order anything that isn't pub food. Tried the "Thia green noodles" absolutely awful. Waiter could clearly see a full plate of food left and did not ask how the meal was. not even a check up during the meal. Paid for a meal that was not eaten and took ages to come. Went with a friend who's a manager of a well known pub/restaurant in preston, will not being going back!

Went for the Friday night steak special plus a free bottle of wine. Food was ok but the steaks tasted cheap and prefrozen, but i guess you get what you pay for. Sweets were lovely and ale was good. A bit better than your normal two for one grub but not exceptional. Ok for a cheap meal but not for a celebration. 7/10

What a shame this pub is now run by complete amatures ! bringing in their followers to a village pub that was once run to the highest of standards with the best fresh fine food, great wines and ice cold beers, not to mention the great company and party nights, Back to the slum as it was before it was fully refurbished and re named The Lock and Quay !! they were the real publicans not these two pretend wanabee's. GET RIDD OF THE YOUR FROZEN RUBBISH, CHEAP WINES AND OUT OF DATE BEER.

When someone knows how to run a pub, make all guests welcome and offer them home styled grub which is just that bit tastier than you normally cook at home then you know you are on to a winner. Well Done and keep the good work up xxx probably shouldn't have written this review - might not get a table...

the food here is fantastic !! its the fresh produce and the expert chef's they have that make it one of the best food houses, A bar full of cold beers and cask, massive choice of wines and the Sunday Carvery is the tops 2 courses £9.95 & 3 courses £10.95 and not a frozen item in sight. Mid week special, all pasta dishes only £4.95 and ice cold Buds £2.00 (mid week) all British meat and all fresh of the butcher. Sat & Sun Special soup & sandwich £4.95 cant beat it !! warm fires, good company and hot drinks its the place to be !!!
