We visited as a family of 6 plus 2 dogs for a birthday meal. Table felt a little small.
Service was slow but not a problem, food was great, the best I’ve had for a long time. The starters were imaginative and punchy flavours, the pies of the day were impressive, lamb was perfect, interesting veg. Only disappointment was steak was slightly overdone to order.
Slightly elevated prices were acceptable for the great standard of food
Atmosphere great. We will happily visit again.

Great selection of beers and a good menu. Seems to be one of the better venues for drinking in the town. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend it.

Beautiful setting and fantastic service cheese/meat board superb. we went for a friends birthday and had a £30 voucher, thank god we did as the £102.00 bill was double what I would of liked to pay for the standard of the food. We eat a lot as a couple and a family at the Duke of Edinburgh in Barrow which is the sister pub of the Mill , this place needs a few lessons from them guys. Lots of potential people but the second time we have give you a try and come away saying "close but no star". Keep trying...
