Superb. Even beated Margo's as it was all those years ago. Very please to see it back open as a traditional fish and chip shop. Very welcoming staff and a fantastic variety of food! A* 10/10

At last a Fish and Chip shop that has stayed true to its roots in a sense. I can't begin to think how many establishments have ventured into the burger and pizza game. Would recommend to anybody, always outstanding food, service with a smile and very polite, in a brilliant location also. Thanks very much

I've been to the Old English a few times and have enjoyed it every time. The chips are excellent, perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. The fish is always fresh and cooked exactly as I like it, very lightly battered. Also the curry sauce is very good not the usual chip shop curry crap but proper chinese curry sauce. The peas are also proper peas not the tinned variety. Another good point is the sausages. There proper sausages from the butcher instead of crap processed ones. All in all an excellent chip shop, the best I've been to in a long time.

This being a new chip shop to the area, I was keen to try it out - I was certainly not disappointed! First impressions are always important and to walk into a chip shop that was clean, hygienic and friendly was a refreshing change. The chips are superb, with generous well priced portions! They offer a wide range of other food which will appeal to anyone. I will certainly be making this the chippy of my choice and would highly recommend it to all who ask.
