We have had many lunches at The Owl, it's ideally located for lovely walks in Epping Forest and has a small kids playground for the kids to burn off steam before or after lunch. Sunday lunches there are superb, served quickly and decent sized with great gravy, a marker of a good roast dinner. The kids portions are generous. Saturday menu is varied and really great too!

Came here on Saturday with some family and friends for a long overdue catch up. Table of 10 and we all had a fantastic time The food was a hit and tasted amazing. I had the owl burger, which was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time and at a very reasonable price. Had our newborn with us too and they were very accomadation with a good location to store the pram out the way etc Staff, top tier the whole time we were there and very friendly. No complaints from all, definitely be coming back in the summer to enjoy the outside parts (which also look great)

Not impressed at all. The place was crazy busy, so many screaming kids. Table not ready. Made to feel rushed when we did sit down. Too top things off the food was rubbish, the Brockley & potatoes were hard! Not going back.

Lovely family meal - very quiet in the pub for a Friday evening but the food was great, service was great and it was actually nice being in a quiet atmosphere! Definitely recommend this pub and we will visit again!

Had a great meal here for my Nan's 80 something birthday. The staff were great and were very helpful. We had brought a cake for my Nan and the staff quickly took this from us so that it would remain a surprise, a brought it out with all the candles in as well as with a knife and plates for us to enjoy it in the pub. A great experience!

Excellent meal, food came quickly, hot and well cooked and presented. Good value for money. Good menu. The only things we didn't enjoy were the scary Halloween decorations, which I wouldn't have wanted my young grandchildren to see,and the large dog at the table next to us which put it's paws up on the table and licked plates which is not hygienic and bacteria from a dogs mouth aren't always killed in a dishwasher, which put me off my food a bit.

Great place to stop for lunch while having a walk through Epping Forest. Roasts were really good and staff were friendly and attentive. A couple of desserts were cold on the inside which was a little disappointing. But would highly recommend visiting. Warm, cozy, dog friendly and very welcoming.
