About The Pheasant Inn
Situated on the coast road at Allithwaite, between Grange-over-Sands and Flookburgh, The Pheasant Inn is a traditional coaching inn built in 1690. A family run free house, it's been run by the Jones's since 2005 and they take pride in offering quality and value-for-money food with produce sourced locally and with their suppliers name checked on the menu. Expect traditional English pub food ranging from classics like fish and chips in beer batter and burgers and Chefs Specialities including Prime fillet medallions on garlic sautéed potatoes with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes finished with crispy fried onions and a drizzle of fiery peppercorn sauce; and Slow-roasted honey glazed pork belly with black pudding, pork popcorn, mashed potatoes and a cider and fennel gravy. Kids have their own 'Young Diners' menu too. In winter, a seat by the log fires beckons whilst in summer the conservatory is the place to be with views out over Humphrey Head to Morecambe Bay. The Pheasant serves breakfast from 9am and then food right through from noon until 9pm every day with the bar open until late.
