About The Platform Tavern
The Platform Tavern is a charming pub situated by the dockyards in Southampton and just a short walk from the city centre. It dates back to 1873 but is built partly within the old medieval walls which can be seen in the bar. The décor is relaxed and has an ethnic feel, with walls adorned with masks, relics and pictures. Cosy up by the fire during the winter months and soak up the sun with outdoor seating in the summer. The pub is open every day for lunch and dinner and all food is freshly prepared using local ingredients. The menu encompasses light bites and Mediterranean tapas, home-made pub classics including their famous pies, burgers, and fish and chips, a pizza menu and an à la carte selection. All dishes are prepared in-house so most dietary needs can be catered for, with allergens provided. There’s a great selection of house or premium wines and spirits, and always something new to try on cask. The Platform Tavern also has live music every week for free.
