In 2003 my husband and i stayed at the Stone house and the hosts son in law drove us to the Plough for a really lovely meal. We were joined by a very pleasant Japanese couple who wre also staying at hosts B and B. When we left after 2 nights the host wore a jersey one of his family members had bought from New Zealand for him. It was a thrill for us after 13 years plus we still remember the kindness of the hosts where we stayed and the lovely evening at the Plough. We have good photos so greetings from N Z ! I've recently had 2 evenings at this pub and found the staff and "boss" to be most warming and nice. Even to the point of letting me raid the jukebox, with my tunes, no questions asked just a giggle. top pub xx
