About The Red Lion
With its wooden floors, exposed beams and traditional black and white frontage, the Grade II-listed Red Lion at Bridge, near Canterbury, is a pub steeped in tradition. It was refurbished after a fire in 2006 and for the last year has been under new French management with a real food-driven focus. They are aiming for two AA rosettes and have created a modern British menu with a French twist based firmly on the use of fresh local produce, delivered daily. Signature dishes include the rack of lamb, snails and tartare prawns and fish and seafood form a major part of the menu. The Red Lion has a separate dining room and function room as well a bar area which has its own lunchtime bar menu. There is a large beer garden too with children's play area, BBQ, water feature and space for a marquee where they hold the occasional hog roast.Write a Review
