About The Rising Sun
Once a famous saddlery as well as a pub, The Rising Sun in the centre of Tarporley has tended to the needs of hungry and thirsty visitors for centuries. It underwent a major makeover in 2017 thanks to a substantial investment from Robinsons Brewery, emerging with a contemporary country feel but retaining many original features. There are lots of nooks and crannies, incorporating the original fireplaces, and outside a great new courtyard garden. Food is served every day from 12 noon until 9pm (7pm Sundays) and the main menu offers plenty of choice combining pub classics with international dishes. Hot and cold sandwiches are also available until 5pm daily and there is a very popular Sunday Lunch menu. The Rising Sun has a great selection of drinks too with Robinsons real ales and specialist gins as well as craft beers, wines and soft drinks. It’s ideally located too for visiting nearby Delamere Forest, Oulton Park Racing Circuit and the Shire Horse Centre.

The bar is open from 10am - 11pm Monday to Friday, 11am - 11pm Saturday and 12 - 11pm on Sunday.
