About The Royal Fowey Yacht Club

Set at Whitford Yard overlooking the water, the Royal Fowey Yacht Club combines its long-standing role as a sailing club with a welcoming bar and restaurant open to members and their guests, visiting yachtsmen and reciprocal members. The setting is a major part of the appeal, with a terrace made for watching life on the river and a dining offer that moves from lunches and evening menus to Sunday roasts, themed suppers and club events. With Fowey’s rich maritime heritage evident all around, the club offers something more individual than a conventional restaurant: good food and drink, a convivial atmosphere and one of the town’s most memorable waterfront outlooks.

A real buzz as it was Regatta week and we arrived just as the presentation was happening. As always, Alfie and his team looked after us well and the food was promptly served and absolutely delicious. Some of the best food in Cornwall.

We visited on Sunday, booking a table on the terrace so our little dog could come too. The food was excellent - superb quality and very generous portions. Service was brilliant and the view over the river on a sunny Sunday was just perfect. Highly recommend.
