About The Ship Gidea Park

The Ship at Gidea Park is a Romford pub with a storied history dating back to 1762. It’s Grade II-listed and has retained its picture-postcard appearance both inside and out. Expect wooden beams, low ceilings, wood-panelled walls and huge fireplaces. The Ship is both family run and independent and is renowned for its home-cooked food and cask ales. There’s also a good selection of wines and a special gin menu. They also run regular events, including live music nights, and the Ship is available for private hire for your own special event.

Always lovely food here. Their roasts are lovely. All their food is nice, but roasts are outstanding. Lovely beef and lamb, extra stuffing cubes and gravy with yummy pigs in blankets. Very nice cosy comfortable pub with lovely staff. Go there a lot

We arrived early at the restaurant. We were greeted with a lovely welcome. We explained we were early but was told we could sit straight down. The waitresses were efficient. The drinks arrived immediately. Our food arrived shortly afterwards. The meal was hot and delicious. We would certainly make another booking soon. Excellent customer service.
