About The Slipway

Overlooking the picturesque harbour of the historic north Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac, The Slipway is a much-loved restaurant with rooms that makes the most of its spectacular coastal setting. It’s housed in a Grade II-listed building dating back to 1527 that was formerly a smugglers hideaway and a ships chandlery. In its current form, The Slipway has an amazing covered outdoor terrace overlooking the port and two floors indoors serving casual lunches and more formal dinners. Upstairs, you’ll find seven quirky double bedrooms, each with a modern en-suite bathroom.

This is a brilliant restaurant. This very old building has a perfect position right on the harbour and the restoration has been simply, but tastefully done. The menu - a lot of the ingredients being of Cornish origin - is fabulous. Traditional dishes are beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced. There is an excellent wine list. All this is topped off by efficient and charming waitress service. For a relaxed evening with delicious food, you could not do better.

Delicious bistro style fresh fish and seafood served in this cosy yet chic restaurant in the heart of Port Isaac. Excellent service and a fine wine list. A most enjoyable evening!
