Overlooking the picturesque River Severn, The Swan at Ironbridge blends the best of British and American cuisine. They take great pride in smoking all their dishes in-house over real oak wood, optimising the flavours. There’s a wide selection of pork, chicken and brisket to tuck into, as well as plenty of gluten-free and vegan options and the food is complemented by a great choice of craft beers and spirits. The historic building has recently been refurbished in a modern and contemporary style and is open for lunch and dinner daily. There are also ensuite rooms if you fancy an overnight stay in Ironbridge.

Dreadful!! 1 chicken wing each. 1 rib each. Stale bread. 1 mouthful of brownie and sponge pudding. Stale shop bought scones. No jug for milk had to pour it from a cup. No spoons just a wooden stick you get in a roadside cafe. We left absolutely starving! It was embarrassing. AVOID will not return

Went for an afternoon tea for my husbands birthday. It was lovely, the sliders, ribs and wings were very tasty. I may go back for a main of the ribs one night! We also ordered a side of the fries (we did not necessarily need them as there was plently of food but we skipped breakfast and i love the seasoning on the fries here). The deserts were yummy too and it was great that scones were also served warm! The staff were very friendly and attentive - they even made my husband a birthday cocktail - fantastic service and will definitely like to go again. Thank you so much:)

Booked the American afternoon tea through Groupon. Setting was lovely, the young lady who served it us was delightful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. We couldn’t eat all the desserts so boxed them up to bring home. It’s our second time here and would definitely recommend it.

We have eaten her twice within a couple of weeks. The first time I a Friday evening - lovely! No complaints with food or staff! This time (on a Wednesday) we were very disappointed. No brisket - for a smokehouse, this is a staple and removed many options from the menu! The fries were salted and not “seasoned” like they were the first time we came. Even my 14 year old daughter noticed. Messy presentation. We went to the bar and ordered a second set of drinks before our food came out and they didnt arrive before we had dishes our food, unfortunately. No staff came to check our food was ok. Empty plates on several tables that weren’t cleared. Not enough staff and not enough of the menu available! Very disappointed and will not return. We didn’t complain at the time because there was only two staff who were rushed off their feet so we cancelled the drinks order, paid the bill and left.

Lovely afternoon tea. Very relaxed atmosphere. The sliders, chicken wings and ribs were a really nice change from the sandwiches that normally come with afternoon tea. The scones and cakes were also very good.The sevice was great. Both of the staff that looked after us were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go back again.

I'm sorry to say it was not good... The service was slow. The staff were not attentive. I wasn't asked how my meal was, I wasn't asked if I would like dessert once I had finished my main. The drinks order was especially slow. Slow to come to our table and ask, slow to then bring the drink. Infact I had to remind the staff that I ordered a drink. The food was ok. For the location and price I won't moan too much. I would just say; It could be made with more love. I had the hot dog and upgraded fries. It came out very fast and was just rushed to be out together. We wouldn't return. Location is great, prices are decent. But the staff let it down. Overall I'd say attention to detail and care are needed from the staff. If you can correct that, it would go along way in repeat custom - Without that, it's just another place to grab a pint

Very disappointed with the service and food received during our meal yesterday evening. Service was very slow and food arrived before our drinks had. I had the chicken and rib dish. The ribs were inedible. Gristle in most bites I took. It stated on the menu that the ribs and chicken were BBQ 'glazed' it appeared that the chef had just poured a huge amount of BBQ sauce over them before sending out of the kitchen. The ribs and chicken were practically swimming in BBQ sauce. It was very overpowering in taste. Such a shame as it's a lovely cosy venue.

As always the staff are very friendly and the food was really lovely. We have been before and will be coming again. Great food and lovely place.
