About The Verandah

The Verandah is a new arrival on Leigh’s dining scene, billing itself as a Modern Bengal Kitchen and combining the flavours and traditions of Bengali cooking with a contemporary approach. The menu moves beyond familiar curry-house territory, with a broad choice designed to showcase different styles of spicing, cooking and regional influence, alongside tandoor dishes, seafood, meat and vegetarian choices. The Warrington Road restaurant has a smart, modern feel and is open for evening dining seven days a week, making it an interesting new addition to the area’s South Asian restaurant scene.

Had a beautiful meal on Friday night. Staff were welcoming and polite. Food was stunning. We all enjoyed it and will be going back. I couldn’t compliment them enough on the food and service.

Tried here Friday night after seeing some good reviews and it did not disappoint. The food was the best I have tasted at an Indian Restaurant for a long time. There was 4 of us and everyone commented about how good the food was. Although I thought it was slightly higher in price because there’s no special deals on, you get what you pay for and it was very much worth it. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the seating and table service was great, you do only get soft or hot drinks in the restaurant though, alcoholic drinks are supplied by the bar next door, so you have to order through them, and the car parking registration tablet is in the hotel lobby, until they can sort their own. Overall a very good night with good food and would not hesitate to recommend or go back!

I 100% recommend the new bengal restaurant, Verandah! The food is absolutely amazing, the staff are so warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect. It’s the ideal place to come, chill, relax, celebrate with friends and family, and enjoy some of the nicest  food ever!  Definitely worth a visit — you won’t be disappointed!
