About The Wargrave Hacienda
The Wargrave Hacienda is a Mexican restaurant and bar in the village of Wargrave, near Newton-le-Willows. Owner Manuel knows his Mexican food – his family owned a chain of restaurants in central Mexico and he has now brought his style of authentic Mexican cookery to the UK. This spacious old pub now has a real Latin feel with a bar, restaurant, shop and outside garden. The small restaurant area is cool and contemporary with colourful Mexican-themed murals adorning the walls. Expect street-food style Mexican cooking – tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas and the like – prepared from an open kitchen with a few British dishes thrown in for good measure. And just to underline the ‘street’ authenticity, the restaurant has a row of sinks along one wall where you can wash your hands before and after eating. The bar shows live sports (BT and Sky) and you can eat here as well as in the restaurant and outside. Food is served Wednesday to Sunday.
