I ate there for the first time last week and was astonished at how attractive and relaxing a setting it was. The service was excellent, especially helpful as I was accompanying my elderly mother.
We both enjoyed it , and wondered how they could provide such a tasty and hearty meal for a mere £7.95. (Excellent roast potatoes, by the way.)Their Jan-Feb menu is priced at a mere £6.00. Sheer brilliance.

You will not find a better value restaurant anywhere. £7.95 for a three course meal. Varied menu, large portions and excellent service. What more could you want ?

Very dissatisfied. Staff were very rude and food was very basic and poorly cooked. Plates were stained and chipped. Would not recommend this restaurant.

My first visit to the Wheatsheaf was on Thurs 31/5/07. The food was excellent - especially since it was a 3 course meal for £6.50p. The staff were very cheerful and service was very good. I have recommended it to several people already.
